James Wyrsch
James R. Wyrsch is President and Shareholder of Wyrsch Hobbs Mirakian, P.C. Mr. Wyrsch specializes in white collar crime and complex civil litigation matters. He has litigated cases both at the trial and appellate level throughout the United States. Mr. Wyrsch has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards throughout his extensive career.
James Hobbs
Mr. Hobbs has extensive experience in both civil and criminal cases with particular emphasis in white collar criminal defense work. He has tried cases in areas such as criminal enforcement of environmental laws, defense of health care prosecutions, representation of individuals and corporations charged with business crimes, and defense of political corruption prosecutions. Mr. Hobbs has also represented individuals charged with violent offenses and sexual assault cases. His practice also involves grand jury representation and pretrial representation of individuals and corporations under investigation for criminal conduct. Mr. Hobbs is the recipient of numerous awards, and he has served on many boards of organizations advocating for criminal defendants.
Stephen Mirakian
Mr. Mirakian’s legal career of more than 40 years has included representing clients in military, state and federal trial and appellate courts in Kansas, Missouri and many other state and federal jurisdictions. In addition to three years in the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps as a defense counsel, Mr. Mirakian’s practice includes a wide variety of complex civil and criminal matters including family law, personal injury, employment discrimination, business disputes, worker’s compensation and estate planning. His practice also includes formation of business entities, development of partnership and shareholder agreements and real estate transactions. Mr. Mirakian also conducts a full-service mediation practice and he has been retained as an expert witness in numerous complex business matters.
Marilyn Keller
Ms. Keller is well known and respected for her practice in criminal defense, both at trial and on appeal, as well as habeas corpus cases and municipal court matters. She is also skilled in complex civil litigation cases in state and federal courts involving false claims and contract disputes. Her background includes a bachelor’s degree in accounting and prior employment as an accountant and financial analyst. This experience serves the client well in defending civil and criminal tax and complex fraud prosecutions. Ms. Keller has successfully represented and guided numerous clients through the difficult area of DUI/DWI and related administrative hearings
David Bell
David and his team work with professionals and their families facing criminal charges in municipal, state and federal courts.
His practice areas include white-collar, violent offenses, drug offenses, and sexual offenses. He and his team have successfully defended clients in complex felony cases, from mortgage fraud to first-degree murder.
Sheena Foye
Ms. Foye focuses her practice primarily on criminal defense at the local, state and federal level. While in law school, Ms. Foye worked as a law clerk at the firm. After graduation, Ms. Foye worked for four years as a public defender in Johnson County, Kansas. As a public defender, Ms. Foye obtained extensive jury trial experience and handled a serious felony case load. Ms. Foye’s last six jury trials as a public defender resulted in acquittals. Ms. Foye’s acquittals included a not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect on an aggravated battery case and a not guilty on a Jessica’s Law case. Ms. Foye rejoined the firm as an attorney in March of 2016.
